This keysigning event will be a low tech edition. If you are a old timer at keysigning parties, just show up with a bunch of printed key snippets and some ID. If you are pretty new to this, please read on
We are using a informal method. Among other places it is described here
We will line up on two rows and check each others identities.
After the event, it is important to verify the owner of the key as well. A simple way to do this is to encrypt the signature to the key and send by email. The program caff does this. At least on Debian (and debian derived distributions) it can be found in the package signing-party.
key snippet is basically the output of gpg --fingerprint --list-secret-keys on a machine with you secret key on. gpg-key2ps(1) from the signing-party package on debian and derivatives creates a postscript file with as many keysnippets as possible, but just copying the output of gpg --fingerprint --list-secret-keys to a text document and paste it many times can also work. Remember to use a pair of scissors beforehand and cut them into pieces
Number of participants is completely unsure. At opensourcedays there was ~15-20 people.
